Our Story

Hill Harvest is a registered trademark under Kaafal Tree Products partnership firm, co-founded by the husband and wife duo of Ankit and Shipra.
Ankit and Shipra are natives of Uttarakhand and share a passion of farming and healthy living. This shared passion led them to cross their path and eventually get married and start Hill Harvest.
Ankit
Ankit comes with a rich history of farming in his family. His family has a huge farm, Belwal Farm, located in the heart of Corbett country in Sawal Deh Village near Ramnagar in Nainital district of Uttarakhand. In this farm they grow Mango, Litchi, Guava, Amla, wheat, rice, vegetables among other things.
After completing his Masters from Panjab University in Chandigarh, Ankit decided to concentrate on farming. He initially learnt traditional ways of farming from his family. This was when he realized how much chemicals and pesticides are used in farming. A fitness enthusiast from an early age, Ankit knew the importance of healthy living. This realization made him shift towards organic farming and promote healthy living.
With his sheer determination and hard work, Ankit started learning organic farming from various experts and started implementing it in his farm in a scientific way. He turned around 10 acres of his farmland into organic and aspire to convert most of his ancestral farm into organic.

Shipra
Shipra comes from a family of hospitality professionals with a thirteen acre farm in the beautiful hill station of Ranikhet. Her family runs a resort in this farm called Holm Farm Heritage. She was born and raised in this farm. A bright student from the beginning, she finished her graduation from Gargi College, Delhi University and Post Graduation from JNU, New Delhi. She worked in various companies in Delhi for some time but was never satisfied. She always had a desire to move back to her hill state and do something for the people there. With the air quality in Delhi deteriorating, she realized that health comes first and decided to quit her job as public relation executive in Gurgaon and move back to Ranikhet to start farming, an unconventional career path for women. With never ending support from her family, she started growing herbs like rosemary, Nettle, turmeric etc. and packing them and selling them at the resort owned by her father.
In this course, she met Ankit and they both decided to become partners in life and work, leading to the seed of Hill Harvest being sown.

Most of the products at Hill Harvest  are grown at our own farms in Ramnagar and Ranikhet and procured from reliable farmers in upper regions of Uttarakhand. As organic farmers ourselves we understand the process of organic food production. This ensures that the best quality products reach you.
Our delectable value added products are hand made by us at our production unit. We mostly employ women of our village to carry out works like pickling, jamming, stone-milling, cleaning and packaging.
